Cosecha fellows are selected for a 1-year entrepreneurial stint. They are typically business students who are on their gap year or doing their internship, and are looking for actual business experience. Given the low cost investment environment in Latin America, Fellows get a low-risk, practical experience in starting a business.
Cosecha fellows are encouraged to invest into the business that they are starting. As start up costs are relatively low in Latin America, a 40% stake is usually valued between USD 3000 to USD 5000, depending on the business. Based on experience, this start-up cost can be recouped within a year of business.
